Sponsored by the Town of Mountain Village and presented by the Telluride Venture Accelerator, Women in Investment and Business features a variety of speakers – all experts in their industry verticals. 

Keynoting the event is Elizabeth Kraus, co-founder and CIO for MergeLane, an Accelerator for companies featuring women founders located in Boulder, CO. Elizabeth is a successful entrepreneur, myUsearch.com, the founder of Impact Angel Group and has been very active in mobilizing angel investment as part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. 

Kristin Holbrook, Two Skirts founder, has successfully maintained a retail presence in Telluride for over 15 years. Her clothes selection mirrors the tastes of Telluride – avoiding trendy labels and instead appealing to lifestyles from work to play, yoga to sophisticate. Not only is her choice of merchandise cornerstone to her success but customer service the key to longevity.  Come hear her thoughts on how to create a sustainable retail enterprise.

Jen Taylor, founded Mountain Sprouts, an outdoor apparel company featuring outerwear for active kids. The company sold to Mountain Khakis in the 2007 and since that time Jen has been the Brand Manager & Director of Creative Development for Mountain Khakis. An avid lover of the outdoors and super passionate about the industry – Jen has been instrumental in supporting emerging companies in the outdoor space – including as a founder of the Manufacturers of Outdoor Gear (MOG) sale (now the Gearup festival) on the western slope with Chacos to provide opportunity to sell direct and move inventory.

Patty Denny, former Broadway actress turned chocolatier has created one of Telluride favored (and flavored) brands from their famous hot chocolate to the 14er series, Patty’s creativity has elevated Telluride Truffle to a category of must stops in Telluride. But, Patti has extended her presence worldwide and ships to many different countries and throughout the US. Telluride Truffle is a manufacturing company operating a facility from Lawson Hill and sells product through their e-commerce site and retail shop.
