Volunteers Plant Trees along Rock Brook in Skillman Park
Thank you to the dedicated volunteers who are helping to restore the Rock Brook stream corridor to forest habitat in Skillman Park!

The Township Open Space Committee, in cooperation with the Somerset County Park Commission, and the help of dedicated volunteers including local Scouts, and students from Montgomery High School, The Hun School, PDS, Lawrenceville School, and Rutgers University planted over 50 trees along Rock Brook this spring at Skillman Park. The plantings will reforest the Rock Brook floodplain, which will improve water quality and prevent future erosion. This planting was the second phase of a long-term reforestation project at the Park. So far, over 100 trees and shrubs have been planted. Thank you very much to our volunteers!

If you're interested in receiving information on future planting events, and similar activities, please email Open Space Coordinator Lauren Wasilauski at [email protected] to be added to her volunteer email listing.

Watch Mail for new Montgomery Business Directory

All Montgomery residents should soon be receiving a copy of the Montgomery Economic Development Commission's Business Directory by mail. These free paper resources for the community were mailed out beginning May 20th.  Please look for it. If you cannot find your copy, please look for them at businesses around Montgomery where they are also being offered.

Please keep your copy and refer to it throughout the year.  It is a handy reference which also includes next year's school calendar and important local phone numbers.

Please support our local businesses including the Montgomery shops and companies listed.  Shop local!
