Dear Families,

As we end our first week of Remote School and get ready to welcome Shabbat, we wanted to tell each and every one of you how much we love and appreciate you! Your dedication to your children, our school, and your work is inspiring now more than ever. Your support this week and positive feedback has been invaluable to us.

We are planning to continue our Remote School and you can look forward to many creative lessons, themed days, and engaging activities next week. We will continue to share various resources and activities children can partake in on their own or you can do so as a family. Mara Yacobi, our Social Worker has shared some resources with you that you can see here. Makerspace @ Home ideas from Mrs. Barbach can be found here.

Not being physically together at school will not stop us from having planned events, they will simply take place in a new virtual platform.

Michal Levison, of Seasoned Moments and a GBDS parent is hosting a pasta making workshop on Monday, 3.23.2020 at 2pm and you all are invited to join in. Please RSVP to the event  here.

At 8:30pm on Monday, 3.23.2020, we invite you all to join us to "Catch up with the Leadership Team" via Zoom, the meeting ID: 781 207 403.

Thank you to all students, teachers, parents, families, BOT members, and friends for joining in today's virtual Kabbalat Shabbat - it was a true testament that even virtually we are a deeply connected community.

Shabbat is a special gift we all share. It is a time for us to pause, focus in on those who matter most, and show our gratitude. This poem is a reminder to the world of how important it is to actually pause.  It is now more important than ever to be kind to one another, to show our loved ones how much they mean to us. So, this Shabbat, sing songs, pray and enjoy the things that make you happy!

We hope that everyone in your home and extended family stays healthy and well.

Shabbat Shalom,
Lina, Sheila, Sarit and Susan
